Our mission
At SmartHaven Foundation, our mission is to provide safe, structured, and empowering independent living for people overcoming tough circumstances - giving every resident dignity, support, and the tools to thrive. Our core values: Safety, Empowerment, Respect, and Community.
What We Provide
Safe and stable housing: Shared or private rooms, utilities, WiFi, and furnishings included. Life skills coaching: Budgeting, self-care, communication, and employment readiness. Case management: Help with IDs, benefits, job search, and connecting to community resources—including third-party outreach for services not provided in-house. Structured living: House rules, and accountability. Not provided: Medical services, clinical therapy, direct 24/7 staff supervision (but 24-hour surveillance is in place), and transportation is typically not provided.

Move into a fully furnished home, equipped with everything you need for comfortable living. Our homes provide a welcoming and secure environment as you embark on your journey to independence.

About us
SmartHaven Foundation was created from a place of lived experience—not theory. Our founder knows firsthand what it feels like to face instability, hardship, and life-altering challenges with nowhere to turn. After surviving domestic violence, aging out of the foster care system, and rebuilding life from the ground up, she learned one powerful truth: people don't just need housing. They need a fresh start, support, dignity, and a path forward. SmartHaven was built for that exact purpose. Today, we provide safe, stable shared housing for individuals who are ready to rebuild their lives but simply need a foundation to stand on. We don't call it "rent"—we call it paying it forward. Every contribution goes right back into the community, allowing us to open more homes, shelter more people, and create more opportunities. Our vision extends beyond housing: as we grow, we plan to offer employment services, empowering our residents to heal and achieve true independence.
